Are Actually Modern™ products safe and suitable for everyone?
In general — yes. We design for normal healthy adults seeking better rest or less snoring/mouth-breathing. That said:
- If you’ve been diagnosed with sleep-apnea, major nasal obstruction, airway devices, or night-time breathing disorders — please consult a sleep-doctor before using mouth tape or mouth guard.
- We use hypoallergenic and skin-safe materials, but if you have extremely sensitive skin, test a patch first.
- Always follow our product instructions for best results + safety.

Shipping & Delivery
Where do you ship?
We currently ship to U.S. addresses. (International shipping is under development — check back for updates!)
How long does shipping take?

How can I track my order?
Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number via email. You can use that to follow your package’s journey to your door.
What happens if my package is lost or damaged in transit?
If you believe your package is lost or arrives damaged, please contact support@actuallymodern.co right away. We will help initiate a claim with the carrier or arrange a replacement as needed.
Can I change my shipping address after placing my order?
Usually yes — if your order hasn’t shipped yet, we’ll do our best to update the address. Once the package is in transit, changes may not be possible depending on the carrier.
Returns & Refunds
Can I return or exchange a product?
Yes — we want you to be satisfied. Please email us to request a return or exchange before sending anything back. Items returned without prior authorization may not be accepted.
Does the product need to be unused or unopened for a return?
In many cases, yes. However, if there is a legitimate issue (e.g., allergic reaction, defect, wrong item) we will work with you to find a resolution.
Who pays for return shipping?
In most cases, the customer is responsible for return shipping. We may provide a prepaid label in certain circumstances (e.g., product defect or shipping error).
How long until I receive my refund?
After we receive and inspect your return, refunds typically process within several business days. The exact timing depends on your original payment method and bank processing times.
What about purchases made with promotional codes or discounts?
To keep things fair, certain promotions (especially highly-discounted bundles) may have special return/exchange conditions. These will be clearly stated during checkout.
Product Use & Care
How do I use the mouth tape / nose tape / ear plugs / mouth guard?
Each product includes usage instructions — but in short:
- Mouth tape: Clean and dry your lips, apply the tape strip gently across the lips before sleep, breathe primarily through the nose unless instructed otherwise.
- Nose tape: Apply to cleansed, dry skin across the nose ridge to gently keep nasal passages open during sleep or rest.
- Ear plugs: Insert according to manufacturer’s instructions (roll down, insert, hold until expanded) and remove gently.
- Mouth guard: Typically fitted as directed (boil & mold if required), worn at night to prevent snoring or teeth grinding.
Are your adhesives or materials safe for sensitive skin or facial hair?
Yes — our hypoallergenic materials are designed for comfort even with facial hair or stubble. If you have very sensitive skin, test a small area first.
Do the products interfere with skincare routines or sleep routines?
No — we design for minimal disruption. Mouth tape and other items can be used alongside your skincare or sleep hygiene routine without interfering with serums, creams, or night care.
